Long Lost Posting

I know I have not posted in awhile. To be honest I got really thrown off. I am pregnant (about 9 weeks) and to be honest my food intake has been a little all over the place. Nothing really sounds good and I am doing my best just to eat.

For the most part I have been sticking with the Primal Blueprint. I had a few wild cravings (chicken tenders, taco pizza, cinnamon roll) Then while in Door County I did have vegetable pizza, great cheery pie, an egg tart, and a raspberry filled homemade cookie. All of these things were worth the splurge. I did notice after eating the vegetable pizza my brain was a bit foggy and I felt very lethargic. I was walking and biking all weekend so I utilized the extra carbohydrates:)

Now back home I am ready for the week and to refocus. I made a Wild rice and date pilaf (which rice technically is not on the plan, but still gluten free), homemade cauliflower soup, grilled chicken breasts, egg frittata, and plenty of cut up vegetables and fruit ready to grab.

I look at this as not a step backwards, but a great learning experience. I know that traveling is a challenge and that following the 80-20 rule is important to keep my sanity. I know that in the beginning I used pregnancy as a big excuse. I know that know is more important then ever to eat as healthy as possible. I am working with the cravings and finding alternatives.
